I have been studying and practicing Yoga for 20 years. I qualified with BWY 6 years ago and have been running Aruna School of Yoga teaching classes and retreats ever since.
My main interest is in Vini Yoga, in which I first studied an introductory course with Mike Young. I later completed a foundation course with Ranju Roy before gaining a diploma with BWY with Faye Beddowes. I have also done several retreats, workshops and studies with Ranju Roy, Mike Young, Paul Harvey and my teacher Yvonne Summons, all of whom I am forever grateful to.
I see Yoga as an holistic way of living and I love the fact that I can continuously learn, discover and develop through my own practice, study with my teachers and indeed I learn so much from my students.
Vini means suitable application, I would describe the style as meditative, focused, involving the breath and mindfulness throughout the practice. It also incorporates all aspects of Yoga, giving many tools and techniques to deepen awareness of ourselves on many levels and therefore become more understanding of others.
I am a native of Pembrokeshire with local knowledge of places, people and events.
I predominantly eat vegetarian food though have experience of catering for different tastes as I ran a healthy eating café for 3 years and a guest house for 6.
